• Account info — name, email or phone, role, and profile details you provide.
• Content — music, artwork and other material you upload.
• Usage — how you use the app (plays, likes, follows) to power your experience.
• Device & technical — basic device/log data needed to run and secure the Service.
• Location (opt-in only) — precise device location, collected only if you explicitly turn on location sharing.

Location data (opt-in)

Gurily collects precise location only when you explicitly enable location sharing — for example to show nearby artists in your Network, or to coordinate a film crew on the Production Map. It is never collected in the background. You can turn it off at any time, which stops collection and hides your location from others. We process this with your consent under the DPDP Act and applicable Indian data-protection law, and keep only your most recent shared position while sharing is on.

2. How we use it

To provide and improve the Service, personalise recommendations, process payments where applicable, communicate with you, and keep the platform safe and lawful.

3. What we don’t do

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with advertisers for ad-targeting. Access is limited to what’s needed to run Gurily.

4. Sharing

We share data only with service providers that help us operate (e.g. hosting, payments, email, distribution partners), under appropriate safeguards, or when required by law.

5. Storage & security

Your data is stored with reputable providers and protected with industry-standard measures. Access is controlled and audited.

6. Your rights

7. Retention

We keep data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations.
