Data Deletion

You can ask us to delete your data at any time. This page explains the three ways to do it, what is removed, and what we are required by law to keep.

1. Delete your Gurily account (in the app)

Sign in to Gurily and open your Profile.
Scroll to the Danger Zone and choose Delete account.
Read the short summary, enter your password and confirm.

Your account is closed straight away. For 30 days you can sign in and recover it; after that the account is locked for good and you can no longer sign in.

2. Remove our access to your Instagram, Facebook or WhatsApp

In Gurily: open the place where you connected the account and choose Disconnect. We stop using the connection and delete the access token we hold for it.
In Meta: in your Instagram or Facebook settings, open Apps and websites (also called Business integrations), find Gurily and choose Remove. Once you do, Gurily can no longer read or send anything on your behalf.

3. Ask us to delete it for you

Email team@gurily.com (primary) or gurilyteam@gmail.com with the subject Data deletion request. Send it from the email you signed up with, or tell us your Gurily username or Instagram handle so we can find you. We confirm it is you, then act on the request within 30 days and email you when it is done.

What gets deleted

Data we received from Meta — the access tokens for your connected accounts and, where messaging features are enabled, the messages and comments we stored for you — is deleted when you disconnect or ask us to.
Your account — your profile is closed and hidden, and sign-in is blocked, as described in step 1.

What we must keep

Indian law requires us to keep financial and legal records — payments, invoices, agreements, royalty and earnings statements — for several years (around seven). We keep only those records, only for that purpose, and then remove them when the period ends. Content that other people have also contributed to (for example a song you co-own) stays for them.
